who's who in the world of archaeolgy'

NAA People

Get to know the people past and present in archaeology and history that are a part of NAA's working day

Ben Turner - Assistant Supervisor

Ben Commercial archaeology is that no two days are ever the same. One day I could be conducting a landscape survey up on the moors somewhere looking at Roman roads, Iron Age settlements and post-medieval quarrying sites and the next day I could be across the other side of the county monitoring conservation work or supervising volunteers as part of a community archaeology project.

Matthew Town - Project Manager

Matt As a Senior Project Officer with NAA, Matt is responsible for desk-based assessments and reports on the historic environment for inclusion into Environmental Scoping reports and Environmental Statements as part of the EIA process. He also provides consultancy advice in relation to development, conservation and management of the historic environment and the management and co-ordination of landscape and condition surveys.

Oliver Cooper - NAA Project Manager

OliverOliver Cooper - or Olly as we know him - is one of NAA's five full time Project Managers. He tells us a little bit about what drew him into archaeology as a career; what it is like to work in a professional heritage consultancy, and something of what might constitute a 'typical' day.
